BANNED BOOKS WEEK

One of our favorite weeks of the year (besides the Taschen annual sale) is rapidly approaching. BANNED BOOKS WEEK! And what are we going to do to celebrate? Host a Virtual Broadcast Tour on Wednesday, September 25 at 7pm EST! RSVP here for free.

Banned Books Week started in 1982, created by the American Library Association in response to the growing number of challenges to books in schools, libraries, and bookstores under the Reagan administration. This Week is usually held at the end of September and highlights the importance of free speech, open access to information, and the dangers of censorship. This year Banned Books Week will be held between September 22-28 and the theme is Freed Between the Lines. We look forward to learning, sharing, and celebrating with book lovers of all kinds!

You can learn more about Banned Books Week and challenged books here and here.
